3 Things NOT To Do At A Major YuGiOh Card Tournament

When you go to your regionals or other big tournaments, you go to have a great time. You will learn a lot from going such as game play, strategies and even card rulings. What you will also learn, and probably the most important, will be what NOT to do.

Knowing what not to do can make the difference between you being a super star "pro" winner and just being the person wishing they could be the person that won the whole tournament.

Here are 3 top things NOT to do at a regionals or any tournament:

3. Get To Your Match 3 or 10 minutes Late

When you look at the pairing list, make sure you go to your assigned table number ASAP. If you take your time and arrive 3 minutes late you will get a game lost. If you arrive 10 minutes late you will get a match lost. So if you happen to be in the bathroom and the pairings go up. You better finish up real quick or you just might have to win 2 games in a row.

2. Listening To The Judge Give His Ruling On Other Matches Around You

It's great to hear and know the rulings of different cards, just in case you play them or might have to play against them. But remember, you are in a match and that match has a time limit. Every second counts when you are in a timed match. It can make the difference of who wins and loses. Don't waste time listening in and learning. You can do that after your match is over.

1. Don't Buy Cards From Other Players

I know the store you play in may have a case full of cards at high prices. Or at least what we feel are high prices. But what you need to remember is they have bills to pay too. If they didn't pay the people to run the tournament/event you wouldn't be there. By you buying the card from someone else for $5.00 cheaper, you are taking money out of the store. The same store that either is your local or main store for large event.

But if you still are going to do it, make sure you don't do it in the store or even around the store. Go to a McDonald's or some fast food store around you and do your transaction there. And also don't start bragging about your deal when you go back to the store either. Tell your friends about it on the ride home or away from the store.

So make sure you follow these 3 rules of what not to do and you will become a better YuGiOh player.

I recently was playing at my locals and realized I use a lot of apps on my iPhone while I'm playing, trading and even getting other players info. I use an app to keep score. I use another one to find out the value of my cards while I'm trading. I even use an app to get new players info without me even typing it in. I know we all know about one of Apples slogan, "There's an app for that!" But the funny thing is, whatever you are doing or looking for there probably is an app for that!

Here are the Top 5 Free Apps Every Yu-Gi-Oh Player Needs:

Twitter - Twitter is the one app you can use to keep in contact with your buddies from your locals. You can tweet them a message to find out what they are up to. Or even better you can follow them and know what's new with them every time they tweet.

Facebook - Facebook is similar to twitter in that you can communicate with everyone you know, especially your Yu-Gi-Oh teammates or friends. You can upload pictures, videos and just post anything on someone wall. It's a great way to stay in touch with your friends, family and anyone you feel important enough to be on your friends list.

Bump - Bump is a great app to add people into your address book without having to type their information in. All you need to do is have your friend go into their bump app and you in yours and BUMP them together. Both you and your friend will get each others information right away. It will even adds their image too. Great time saving app that's easy as 1 2 3.

eBay Mobile - eBay Mobile is an amazing app that will make sure you get the true value for your cards. When someone is trading with you and asks you the value of your card(s) you can now go search on eBay. You can even do the same for the cards they are trading you.
