It's really challenging to level up to 200 and beyond in maple story. In fact, some say that it is a "steep power leveling curve". Meaning, at first you are leveling up fast in the game then all of a sudden, you find yourself stuck at one power level - grinding for a week or more without moving up to the next. One of the easiest things to do is to collect a lot of potions - why? Because potions can really help you recover when your hit points (hp) or your magic points (mp) run low, so collect as many as you can.
It is also helpful to buy a 4 hour 2x experience (xp) card, you should try to use this card more often instead of fighting. By using this card, you can provide your character with more hit points (hp), magic points (mp), or experiences (xp) which will then allow you to level up a lot quicker than you would have without it.
Another option would be to use the Orbis exchange quest. This is suitable for characters with a 10-30 maple story power level. One thing about the Orbis exchange quest is it's not available for purchase in the free market, but once you have this, this can be a very fast way for you to level up to the mid 20s.
You can also consider buying a leech. Leeching is when you pay someone to perform the job for you. All you do is sit back and gain some experience (xp). Of course, this option uses mesos so you'll need to weigh up whether it is worthwhile or not. Leeching is usually for level 75 and beyond.

Here are some tips that can help you to level up fast in maple story.
In the first ten levels, you need to kill as many mushrooms as possible. Killing mushrooms gains you experience (xp), that you can use later on in the game.
Take note that if you have low hit points (hp) and you die, you may lose a part of your experience (xp) and you don't want that to happen, so you should stay in a safe and secure spot to let your character rest and recover when your hit points (hp) become low.
Accuracy in hitting enemies is a great help to become successful in any fight. If you are a bowman, a thief, or a warrior, you need to improve your dexterity (dex) as this will make your attacks more accurate. On the other hand, if you are a magician, you need to improve your intelligence (int) and luck (luk). In that way, you can finish the quests in time which in turn helps you to level up fast.
If you're in the ten to thirty levels, you need to have 40-45 dexterity (dex). Having that dexterity can help you to past the quests easily so you can go to the next level right away.
